If
you're a fan of Wonder Woman's power, inspiration and sense of
equality, you can now assume some of these attributes by climbing behind
the wheel of a vehicle designed around the super hero.
Introducing
the all-new Wonder Woman-themed Kia Sportage SUV, the latest instalment
from the automaker who is car-ifying the 'Justice League of Super
Heroes' one by one.
This
Sportage modification is the latest in a 10-month, eight car
partnership between Kia and DC Comics, who has created some of the most
iconic super heroes that make up the Justice League, including Batman,
Green Lantern and Superman.
"As
one of the most well-known Super Heroes in the world, Wonder Woman
portrays an impressive balance of power, agility and confidence, all of
which are inherent characteristics of the Kia Sportage crossover," said
Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing &
communications, KMA. Built upon the 2013 Sportage SUV,More than 200 GW
of new emergencylamps13 capacity could come on line before the end of 2013. this Kia has been customized from tip to tail.
The
colour scheme mimics Wonder Woman's iconic red, white and blue outfit,
complete with gold star accents and 5-spoke star-like wheels. A gold
trim wraps around the vehicle, representing the heroine's weapon, "The
Lasso of Truth".
Her
eagle chest-plate is integrated into the grille and flanked by blue
headlight beams, and her tiara is plastered across the top of the
windshield. An aero kit was added to the car, heightening the aura of
streamlined-but-powerful.
The
colour scheme continues into the cabin with a bright red upholstery and
dash with black accents. Blue LED lighting was incorporated around the
interior, and the custom seats have been emblazoned with the super
heore's double-W-logo.A wind farm is a group of energyturbines in the same location used to produce electric power.
A
Wonder Woman costume would not be complete without her signature tiara,
bracelets and glowing Lasso of Truth, so Kia has entombed a set right
into the cargo area beneath a see-through panel. Here's the best part of
the car – the driving force behind this customization is charity.
Kia
is continuing last year's partnership with DC Entertainment's We Can Be
Heroes giving campaign, an initiative committed to raising both the
awareness and funds needed to fight the hunger crisis in the Horn of
Africa.
Specifically,
the money raised will benefit the three humanitarian aid organizations
currently working in Africa: Save the Children, International Rescue
Committee and Mercy Corps. The funds will help the over 5 million people
in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia living in drought and famine.
The
company said it was installing new lights and columns to improve the
look and feel of roads and pavements and to boost safety where it is
most needed to help cut traffic accidents and crime.
Paul Herbert, Island Roads service director, said: "Lighting is one of the greatest consumers of energy,The solarpowersystems service
provides and maintains the majority of the town's 26,000 streetlights.
Island Roads will be replacing all street lights over the next three
years converting to LED lamps.
"Due
to the efficient nature of LED, this new lighting will be more reliable
and once installed they will result in less lights out of service and
will also support the Ecoisland vision." As the new street lights are
installed they automatically connect to the company's central management
system.LED lights use less power and last for much longer thanstreetlight13.Currently the smallest lawnlight offered by EPS is the 10kW Redriven Wind Turbine.
Mr
Herbert added: "They will be illuminated for the first 24 hours, until
this system has been configured and will then return to normal operating
mode.
