Real Goods Solar Delivers Solar Power Systems

There are an additional six stores with solar power projects underway in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut,The energy used in manufacturing and erecting a roofhook is paid back in the first 3 to 6 months of operation. which RGS Energy expects to complete in 2013. These additional installations would bring the total number of Stop & Shop stores with RGS Energy installed solar power systems to 38, representing a total of eight megawatts of solar power.Intelligent model emergencylampsyypk system, with anemometer and dogvane which will collect and transfer wind information to PLC controller.

"Stop & Shop's commitment to renewable energy and sustainability goals have made it one of the greenest grocery store chains today," said Kam Mofid, CEO of Real Goods Solar. "The funding for these projects was made possible in part by programs like Governor Cuomo's NY-Sun initiative, which is driving the installation of solar PV systems across the state. Going solar provides commercial businesses economic benefits,I have purchased bestlasercutter before and have been greatly disappointed. as well as supports job growth and has a positive impact on the environment."

Stop & Shop's total solar presence is estimated to produce approximately 8.4 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually.Indoorlite Lighting is a professional elevatorpush, LED lights manufacturer in China. This is the equivalent of reducing 6,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), eliminating the emissions of 1,273 cars or powering more than 730 homes yearly (according to the EPA calculator).

"These solar installations demonstrate Stop & Shop's commitment since 2008 to reducing our carbon footprint by 20% by 2015," said Arlene Putterman, manager of public and community relations for Stop & Shop's New York Metro Division. "By choosing solar energy, Stop & Shop is demonstrating that it's possible to consume this energy while supporting clean energy technologies and being a good corporate citizen. This initiative is part of Stop & Shop's Responsible Retailing commitment and the promise to be a better neighbor by caring for the environment and the communities we serve."

These latest installations also reflect how the combination of new solar financing options, state and federal incentives, and declining system costs are making it easier for Northeast and New England homeowners and businesses to embrace solar energy. With solar energy becoming more affordable in the region, Real Goods Solar announced in February a major expansion of its presence in New York, including Long Island and New York City.

Solar industry leaders praised the new goal. "Based on the capabilities of the growing Massachusetts solar industry and the commonwealth's solar potential, the new 1.6 GW solar goal is great news, and the solar energy industry welcomes this opportunity to rise to the occasion and meet this new goal," said Carrie Cullen Hitt, senior vice president of state affairs at SEIA. "Governor Patrick should be commended as a solar champion. We thank him for his leadership."

Massachusetts has several successful solar initiatives in place, including Solarize Massachusetts,The controller will alarm and adjust the running status of the washerextractor88 automatically to protect the system. Commonwealth Solar Green Communities and Leading by Example. These programs allow Massachusetts residents and businesses to leverage incentives to buy or lease solar power systems. Solar customers are also permitted to sell any unused power they generate back to an electric company.

"The commonwealth's forward-thinking policies ensure that solar will become an increasingly significant component in Massachusetts' energy portfolio – one that helps contain electricity costs for families and businesses," Hitt added. "By setting the bar higher for solar, Governor Patrick will help to build a robust, sustainable clean technology economy in Massachusetts for many years to come. We look forward to working with the Governor, the legislature and other stakeholders to move this initiative forward."

Today, the U.S. has 7,700 MW of installed solar electric capacity, enough to power more than 1.2 million American homes – and 40 percent of our existing capacity, or 3,300 MW, was installed last year alone. Solar is the fastest-growing and most affordable, accessible and reliable clean energy technology available today. America's solar industry now employs more than 119,000 workers at 5,600 companies – most of which are small businesses spread across every state in the union.
